Transitioning to Kindergarten is a very important milestone for families. Along with the excitement and pride comes trepidation for what the future holds. Spring can be a stressful time for parents as they are making tough decisions about their hard of hearing or deaf child’s Kindergarten placement. For school boards and teachers, this is a busy time of year when they are beginning to wonder what their classes are going to look like in the Fall, so planning for September has already begun. BCFHRC therapists have put together a resource for families for this important milestone. The Kindergaten Transition Package is a compilation of many pieces of work from a number of sources and includes information, worksheets and resources.
