The Parent Information Series
Many parents of young children who are deaf or hard of hearing wonder how their child’s hearing will affect his or her experiences growing up - school, sports, making friends, driving a car… Will they be happy? Will they encounter barriers? This is your opportunity to hear first-hand from some young adults with a range of hearing levels and communication styles. You will learn about:
• how they make use of technology
• their experiences in school
• their interests, hobbies and passions
• how they self-advocate
• what their parents and others did to support them
We will save some time for you to ask questions, and to chat with the panelists afterwards. Don’t miss this exciting session! Please RSVP to reserve your spot.
