Working with your Early Intervention Team
Research shows that effective early intervention teams work together. For many families, just figuring out who is on their team and what they do can be challenging when they have so much already going on in their lives.
Some ways families help build effective teams:
Have a list of all the team members with contact information and roles
Share information with your team; writing a letter about your child is helpful
Stay organized by having a file or binder divided into sections for information from each of the members on the team
Ask a team member to contact another team member to share results, concerns, goals
Ensure there is a service coordinator on the team who coordinates assessments and team meetings
