Now that you’ve started learning how you can better communicate with your deaf or hard of hearing child, you and your child are ready to learn together how to be communication partners. By focusing on your child’s interests, adjusting your message to his level of understanding, taking turns, and using comments more than directions or questions, you’ll both enjoy the beginning of real conversation.
